Orangeburg, SC (February 4, 2025) – A fatal pedestrian collision in Orangeburg left one person dead and another injured on Monday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 10:33 p.m. at the intersection of Chestnut St and Goff Ave. Reports indicate that the driver of a 2006 Toyota Four Runner was traveling south on Chestnut St when they struck two pedestrians who were in the roadway.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and transported both victims to a nearby hospital for treatment. One of the pedestrians later succumbed to their injuries, while the other remains hospitalized. Authorities have not yet released their identities.
