Lincoln County, MO (February 4, 2025) – A motorcyclist sustained injuries Monday evening after a collision with a pickup truck on westbound Route U.
The accident occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. just east of Rocky Ridge Lane. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2023 Ford F-150 was attempting to enter Route U from a private driveway but failed to notice an approaching 2023 Indian Pursuit motorcycle traveling westbound. As the truck entered the roadway, it moved directly into the path of the motorcycle, resulting in a collision.
The impact caused the motorcycle to overturn, leading to moderate injuries for the 48-year-old rider from Troy, MO. He was transported by Lincoln County Ambulance District to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis for treatment. The driver of the Ford F-150, a 53-year-old man also from Troy, was uninjured and was able to drive away from the scene. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage, with the motorcycle requiring towing.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
