Hit-and-Run Accidents in Connecticut
Hit-and-run accidents, like the one on Burnside Avenue, present serious challenges for victims and law enforcement. Fleeing the scene of a crash is illegal and can leave injured victims without immediate aid. In many cases, law enforcement relies on witness reports, surveillance footage, and K9 tracking to locate suspects.
Victims of hit-and-run accidents may face medical expenses, lost wages, and vehicle damage. While authorities work to hold fleeing drivers accountable, injured parties may still seek compensation through uninsured motorist coverage or legal action.
