Florin, CA (February 2, 2025) – An 81-year-old man in a motorized wheelchair was fatally struck by a vehicle at the intersection of East Stockton Blvd and Power Inn Rd on Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The crash occurred at approximately 7:48 AM, when the elderly man was crossing northbound at the intersection. At the same time, a 60-year-old woman driving a vehicle was making a left turn onto Stockton Blvd from Power Inn Rd, leading to the collision.
Emergency responders were quick to the scene, providing aid, but the man succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have not released details regarding whether DUI or other factors contributed to the accident. The investigation is ongoing to determine who had the right of way at the time of the crash.
