Bolivia, NC (January 9, 2025) – A man is recovering after being struck by a car on Old Ocean Highway in Brunswick County. The incident, which occurred near Randolphville Rd, prompted an immediate response from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and Brunswick County sheriff’s deputies.
According to the authorities, the pedestrian was walking in the roadway when he was hit by a vehicle. He was transported to Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment. His condition has not been disclosed at this time. The driver of the vehicle and a child passenger were unharmed.
The accident caused part of Old Ocean Highway to be temporarily closed, but it has since been reopened to traffic. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident remains ongoing.
