Augusta, GA (January 2, 2025) – A tragic crash on Thursday morning claimed the life of a 22-year-old man near Gate 1 at Fort Eisenhower. The accident occurred on Gordon Highway at Jimmy Dyess Parkway.
The victim, identified as David Houck, was attempting to cross Gordon Highway when his vehicle was struck by an eastbound vehicle. Emergency responders arrived promptly and transported Houck to Wellstar/MCG Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:54 a.m.
