Marmet, WV (January 28, 2025) – A tragic accident occurred Monday evening when a woman was struck by a vehicle in the 9900 block of MacCorkle Avenue SE.
The incident took place around 7:20 PM, according to the Marmet Police Department. Emergency responders arrived to assist, but the woman, identified as 47-year-old Rebecca Jean Estep, succumbed to her injuries while being transported to a local hospital.
The roadway was temporarily closed as authorities investigated the scene and worked to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision. No additional details about the driver or contributing factors have been released at this time.
