Springfield Twp, OH (January 28, 2025) – A tragic accident early Sunday morning claimed the life of 39-year-old Christopher Rigler of New Richmond. The pedestrian was struck by a truck in the 10700 block of Hamilton Avenue at approximately 5:33 a.m.
Springfield Township police and fire crews responded to the scene after receiving reports of a pedestrian being hit by a truck. Rigler was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with life-threatening injuries but was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated fully with investigators. Authorities stated that neither speed nor impairment appeared to be factor in the crash.
