Butler, MO (January 27, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision on US Highway 67, approximately 1.5 miles north of Poplar Bluff, resulted in injuries Sunday evening, January 26, 2025. The crash occurred at around 6:23 PM and involved two northbound vehicles. Emergency responders from Butler County quickly arrived at the scene to provide assistance.
The incident involved a 2019 Jeep Latitude driven by a 39-year-old female from Poplar Bluff, MO, and a 2022 Nissan Rogue operated by a 67-year-old female from Columbia, IL. According to reports, the crash occurred when the driver of the Jeep attempted to make a U-turn, and the vehicle was struck by the Nissan traveling in the same direction. Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene by Extreme and Barker’s Towing services.
The 67-year-old driver of the Nissan sustained moderate injuries despite using a safety device and was transported by EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for further medical care. No other injuries were reported.
