Glendale, AZ (January 27, 2025) – A pedestrian tragically died after being struck by a vehicle late Sunday morning near 59th Ave and Deer Valley Rd. Glendale Police reported that the incident occurred shortly before 11:00 a.m.
Emergency responders rushed the man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite their efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have not yet released his identity pending notification of family members.
The driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating fully with investigators. Police have closed the stretch of road from Pinnacle Peak to Melinda Lane to facilitate the investigation, advising drivers to use alternate routes.
