Waukesha, WI (January 24, 2025) – A deadly fire broke out early Friday morning at the Park Place Mobile Home Community on Elder St, near Moreland Blvd and Summit Ave. The Waukesha Fire Department responded to the scene around 3 a.m. after receiving reports of flames coming from a mobile home, with a person potentially trapped inside.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the home fully engulfed in flames. Waukesha Fire Chief Robert Goplin confirmed that one person was located inside the residence and was pronounced dead at the scene. While the individual’s identity has not yet been released, authorities are working to notify the family.
Firefighters were able to rescue a cat from the burning home, and the fire was contained to the single residence. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, and further details have not yet been disclosed.
