Mount Pleasant, MI (January 24, 2025) – A severe head-on collision occurred Thursday morning in western Isabella County, leaving one individual critically injured.
According to reports, Michigan State Police (MSP) troopers from the Mount Pleasant post responded to the accident along M-20 near South Winn Road at approximately 7:30 a.m. A 77-year-old Mount Pleasant man driving a westbound pickup truck lost control of hazardous road conditions, crossed the center line, and collided with an eastbound SUV driven by a 31-year-old Clare resident.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene to provide care to the victims. The driver of the pickup truck sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the SUV driver was also taken to the hospital but reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
