St. Charles, MO (January 21, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision occurred during rush hour Monday evening on westbound Interstate 70 near First Capitol Drive at approximately 5:33 p.m., resulting in injuries to one individual.
The crash involved a 2011 Buick LaCrosse, driven by a 40-year-old female from St. Louis, MO, and a 2019 Ford F350, driven by a 33-year-old male, also from St. Louis. According to reports, the Buick slowed due to traffic congestion ahead. The Ford’s driver attempted to avoid a collision by steering left but struck the left rear and side of the Buick with the right front and side of the Ford.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage, with the Buick declared a total loss. Both were towed by Superior Towing. The driver of the Buick suffered injuries and was transported by the St. Charles County Ambulance District to SSM Health DePaul Hospital for treatment. No injuries were reported for the Ford’s driver. The crash remains under investigation to determine further contributing factors.
