Washington Twp., OH (January 21, 2025) – A tragic fire in Miami County resulted in the deaths of two individuals Monday afternoon. Emergency responders were dispatched to the 3100 block of Ziegler Rd, just outside Piqua, following reports of a fire around 12:50 p.m.
Fire crews arrived to find the home engulfed in flames. Despite their efforts, two victims were discovered deceased inside the residence. The Miami County Coroner identified the victims as Lillie Patton, 56, and Cyril Dapore, 51. Officials have not yet determined the cause of the fire, and the Piqua Fire Department continues to investigate.
