Cheviot, OH (January 20, 2025) – A house fire in Cheviot early Monday morning resulted in two young children, including a 4-month-old, being hospitalized. The fire broke out at approximately 3:08 AM on Delmar Ave.
When firefighters arrived, they discovered that Cheviot police had already rescued three children from the burning home. The children’s father was still inside, attempting to save a fourth child trapped on the second floor. Firefighters successfully rescued the father and the child, who was found in a bedroom.
The two hospitalized children were transported to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Officials report that both are recovering well and are expected to be released in the coming days. The extent of the damage to the home has not yet been confirmed, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
