Salt Lake City, UT (January 19, 2025) – A hit-and-run crash Saturday evening near Salt Lake City’s Ballpark neighborhood left two individuals seriously injured. The collision occurred just before 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Cleveland Ave and Main St.
According to Salt Lake City Police, the victims, a 53-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, were riding a motorcycle when they were struck by a gray or light-colored Ford compact car. Both were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Their current conditions have not been updated.
Witnesses reported that the driver of the Ford initially stopped near Cleveland Ave, appearing to attempt a U-turn, before fleeing south on Main St and then turning onto Andrew Ave. Authorities believe the Ford compact car sustained significant front-end damage from the crash.
