Jackson County, MO (January 19, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision occurred early Saturday morning on I-70 WB at mile marker 22.4, resulting in injuries and significant vehicle damage. The crash was reported at approximately 12:55 a.m. and was investigated by TPR. M. A. Harris of Troop A.
The incident involved a 2017 Chevrolet Spark and a 2021 Dodge Ram 3500. According to the investigation, the crash occurred when the Chevrolet Spark veered off the left side of the roadway and struck the barrier cables before returning to the roadway and colliding with the Dodge Ram.
The driver of the Chevrolet Spark, a 65-year-old male from Oak Grove, MO, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center via private conveyance for treatment. The vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Elite Towing. The Dodge Ram, driven by a 59-year-old male from Peculiar, MO, sustained minor damage but was able to be driven away from the scene. Both drivers were reported to have been wearing their safety devices at the time of the crash.
