Davenport, IA (January 19, 2025) – A 79-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of the Aldi grocery store at 5262 Elmore Ave on Saturday, January 18. The Davenport Police Department responded to the scene around 1:15 p.m. following reports of a crash involving a pedestrian.
Investigators determined that a vehicle driven by a 79-year-old man was traveling at a low speed through the parking lot when it struck the woman as she exited the store. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. Authorities have not provided updates on her condition at this time.
