Kansas City, MO (January 18, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on northbound 29 at Davidson caused injuries and significant damage early Friday morning. Emergency responders, including Kansas City Fire and Rescue, arrived promptly to provide care to the injured victims.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:45 AM and involved three vehicles: a 2014 Volkswagen Passat, a 2019 Hyundai Accent, and a 1995 Chevrolet Caprice. Reports indicate that the Hyundai Accent struck the rear of the Chevrolet Caprice, leading the Hyundai to veer into the left lane. Subsequently, the Volkswagen Passat collided with the rear of the Hyundai, which then impacted the guardrail.
The drivers of all three vehicles were transported to North Kansas City Hospital for further treatment. The driver of the Volkswagen Passat, a 28-year-old woman, suffered moderate injuries, while the Hyundai Accent driver, a 40-year-old man, sustained minor injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet Caprice, a 49-year-old man, was evaluated on the scene but required no additional medical treatment. All drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Investigators are still working to determine the contributing factors of the accident. Northbound traffic experienced delays as crews worked to clear the wreckage.
