Dale County, AL (January 17, 2025) – A fatal multi-vehicle collision occurred Friday afternoon on County Road 21 near the intersection with Penny Point. Dale County Coroner John Cawley confirmed that 62-year-old Dennis Prescott of Arkansas lost his life in the crash.

Authorities reported that Prescott’s vehicle collided with another vehicle around 2 PM. While Prescott tragically succumbed to his injuries, the driver of the other vehicle sustained what were believed to be minor injuries and is expected to recover. Prescott was in the area visiting a friend at the time of the accident.

State troopers are actively investigating the cause of the crash. No additional details have been released, but updates are expected as the investigation continues. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Dennis Prescott during this difficult time.
