Johnson County, MO (January 17, 2025) – A pedestrian was injured in an accident on Route D, a quarter mile south of US-50, after being struck by a vehicle during the evening hours.
The collision occurred at approximately 5:48 PM when a 2008 Lexus ES350 traveling southbound struck a pedestrian standing in the southbound lane of Route D. After the impact, the vehicle left the roadway. The driver, a 17-year-old female from Knob Noster, MO, was uninjured and was able to drive her vehicle from the scene.
The pedestrian, a 19-year-old woman also from Knob Noster, MO, sustained injuries and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment. Authorities reported that both the driver and pedestrian were utilizing appropriate safety measures at the time of the incident.
