Lassen County, CA (January 16, 2025) – A fatal crash involving a suspected DUI driver occurred on Highway 36 in Lassen County on Tuesday morning, resulting in the death of a Susanville woman. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported the collision occurred around 9:05 a.m., west of Susanville.
According to initial reports, William Dougherty, the suspected DUI driver, was taken into custody following the tragic incident.
