Pawling, NY (January 16, 2025) – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a tragic two-car collision that occurred on Old Quaker Hill Rd near Meeting House Rd on Monday evening. The crash was reported at approximately 7:05 PM and resulted in the death of one driver.
Authorities identified the deceased as Lisa M. Gutierrez, 52, of Pawling. According to deputies, Gutierrez was driving a BMW southbound on Old Quaker Hill Rd when her car crossed the center pavement markings and collided with a northbound Ford pickup truck. Gutierrez sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Danbury Hospital, where she passed away on Tuesday. The driver of the Ford pickup was reportedly uninjured.
A preliminary investigation suggests that alcohol impairment may have contributed to the crash, although this remains under review.
