Parkersburg, WV (January 14, 2025) – A three-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 6:17 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the intersection of Ohio Ave and the Memorial Bridge in Parkersburg. Emergency responders from Parkersburg Fire and Rescue arrived promptly to provide care to those injured in the crash.
The incident involved a 2012 Ford Fiesta, a 2012 Kia Sportage, and a 2014 Ford Spectrum. According to authorities, Brenda Justice was driving the Ford Fiesta eastbound on the Memorial Bridge approach when she failed to stop at a red light. Leslie Townsend and Ginger Smith, driving southbound on Ohio Avenue in a Kia Sportage and Ford Spectrum, respectively, had the right of way with a green light when the collision occurred.
Townsend and Smith sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Officials confirmed that Justice was at fault for failing to obey a traffic control device. The accident remains under investigation.
