Jackson County, OR (January 14, 2025) – A bus crash in rural Central Point sent one child to the hospital Tuesday morning, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO). The incident occurred around 7:50 a.m. on Richey Rd near W Gregory Rd.
JCSO reported that fog and icy road conditions contributed to the crash. One student on the bus sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported, and the crash is under investigation.
Authorities used the opportunity to remind motorists of the dangers associated with winter driving, emphasizing the importance of caution when visibility is limited and roads are slick due to ice.
Our thoughts are with the injured child, and we hope for a swift recovery.
