The collision involved a Ford Ranger driven by Keith Feese, 52, of Shamokin and a Ford F550 driven by Kevin Kistler, 22, of New Ringgold. Authorities reported that Feese was traveling northbound on Route 901, negotiating a right curve, when his vehicle crossed into the opposite lane and struck the driver’s side front end and utility box of Kistler’s truck.
The impact left Feese heavily entrapped in his pickup truck. Despite rescue efforts, he suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office. Investigators noted that Feese was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Kistler, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured in the incident.
Both vehicles sustained disabling damage. Kistler managed to pull his truck to the side of the road following the collision. Route 901 was closed for several hours as state police conducted a detailed investigation and worked to clear the scene.
