Garrison Twp, MN (January 13, 2025) – A tragic multi-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 169 near Channel Dr in Garrison Township, Crow Wing County. The crash involved a southbound Ford F150 that veered into northbound lanes, colliding with a Dodge Durango. The accident resulted in three fatalities and one non-life-threatening injury.
Emergency responders, including the Crow Wing County Sheriff, Mille Lacs Tribal authorities, Garrison Fire, and CRMC Ambulance, quickly arrived on the scene. The driver of the Dodge Durango, identified as Jeremy James Hohansee, 53, of Remer, MN, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Essentia Hospital in Baxter. His passenger, Kari Sue Hohansee, 51, tragically succumbed to her injuries and was later pronounced deceased by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.
The Ford F150 was driven by Lee William Page, 59, of Coon Rapids, MN. Both he and his passenger, Lisa Marie Brunes, 59, also of Coon Rapids, MN, were pronounced deceased at the scene and later confirmed by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner. Authorities reported that all individuals were wearing seat belts, and airbags deployed in both vehicles. Investigators have yet to determine whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
