Graves County, KY (January 12, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash in Graves County sent two individuals to the hospital on Saturday afternoon, according to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office. The collision occurred at around 12:40 p.m. at the intersection of KY 339 North and KY 408 West, between the Fancy Farm and Lowes communities.
Authorities report that 70-year-old Trent Snead of Fancy Farm was driving a Ford pickup truck westbound on KY 408 when he attempted to make a left turn onto KY 339 South. During the turn, Snead pulled into the path of a Chevrolet 2500 truck pulling a trailer loaded with a skid steer loader, operated by 52-year-old Barry Burnett of Mayfield.
The vehicles collided, causing Burnett’s truck to veer off KY 339 to the west, where it struck a utility pole.
Snead was transported by Mayfield/Graves County EMS to the former Lowes Elementary School, where he was flown to an out-of-state medical facility for further treatment of his injuries. Burnett was transported by EMS to Mercy Health Paducah for treatment of his injuries. The severity of their conditions has not been disclosed.
The crash remains under investigation by the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.
