Shreveport, LA (January 11, 2025) – One person was killed, and another was injured in a collision on LA Highway 171 at the intersection of Mansfield Rd and New Moon Dr. The crash occurred at approximately 8 a.m. and is currently under investigation by the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO).
According to deputies, the crash involved a dark-colored truck traveling southbound on Mansfield Rd and a dark-colored SUV that entered the roadway from New Moon Dr. The SUV pulled out in front of the truck, resulting in a collision. The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene by the Shreveport Fire Department.
The driver of the truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
