Christian County, KY (January 9, 2025) – A two-vehicle accident on Hugh Hunter Rd Wednesday night left a Hopkinsville woman with injuries requiring hospital treatment. The crash involved two vehicles and occurred as one driver attempted to maneuver around another.
According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, the collision happened when 32-year-old Kyle Stone, of Oak Grove, was driving westbound and attempted to pass an SUV driven by 44-year-old Lamica Hawkins. Hawkins had her flashers on and was attempting to turn into a driveway when Stone’s car struck her vehicle.
Emergency responders from Hopkinsville EMS provided immediate care to Hawkins at the scene. She was transported to Jennie Stuart Health with reported neck and back injuries. Authorities confirmed that no additional injuries were reported at the time of the incident.
The collision remains under investigation by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office. No further details have been provided about the specific circumstances leading up to the crash.
