Firefighters faced challenges due to water supply issues, requiring them to bring in water from a source approximately six miles away near North Front St. The icy conditions caused by water transport made access to the fire scene even more difficult.
Despite efforts, two individuals were found deceased inside the home. Their identities have not yet been released as authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire. Fishing Creek Valley Rd remains closed between Blue Mountain Parkway and Cemetery Rd near Route 22/322, and motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
The fire has been brought under control, though light smoke continues to linger in the surrounding area. Our thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones during this difficult time.
