Neosho, MO (January 9, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on I-49 Northbound near the 20-mile marker, approximately two miles south of Neosho, resulted in significant damage and injuries on Wednesday morning. The crash involved three vehicles and took place around 10:43 a.m. Emergency responders from Neosho Fire and Rescue were quick to the scene, providing care to the injured victims.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision began when a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by a 58-year-old male from Anderson, MO, struck a 2023 Ford F-150 from behind. The impact caused the Ford F-150, driven by a 30-year-old male from Blanchard, OK, to hit a 2015 Buick driven by an 18-year-old male from Stella, MO. The Hyundai and the Ford sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene, while the Buick suffered minor damage and was driven away.
The driver of the Hyundai sustained moderate injuries and was transported by EMS to Freeman Hospital in Neosho for treatment. The other drivers were reported to be unharmed and did not require hospitalization. Authorities confirmed all individuals involved were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
