Greensboro, NC (January 8, 2025) – A tragic accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian claimed the life of a Madison resident Monday night. The incident occurred around 8:00 PM on West Wendover Avenue near South Holden Road, according to a news release from the Greensboro Police Department.
Emergency responders, including Greensboro police, Greensboro firefighters, and Guilford County EMS, arrived promptly at the scene. The investigation revealed that the driver of a Honda Accord was traveling west on West Wendover Avenue when the pedestrian, identified as 46-year-old Brian Vaden of Madison, entered the roadway and was struck by the vehicle.
Sadly, Vaden died at the scene due to the severity of his injuries. Officials have confirmed that his next of kin has been notified. The driver of the Honda Accord remained on-site and cooperated with law enforcement as the incident was investigated.
