Montville, CT (January 8, 2025) – A serious three-vehicle accident involving a garbage truck occurred Wednesday afternoon on Route 82 near Green Valley Dr in Montville. The crash included a head-on impact that required emergency responders to perform an extrication.
Crews from Montville Fire/Rescue and Connecticut State Police (CSP) quickly arrived at the scene. At least one victim, who was conscious and alert, was extricated from their vehicle by 12:33 PM and transported to Backus Hospital with advanced life support (ALS) assistance. Additional ambulances were requested to the scene to treat other injured parties. Lifestar, a medical helicopter, was queried but unavailable.
