Sweet Home, OR (January 7, 2025) – An 88-year-old man was found deceased after a car crash near the 1000 block of Pleasant Valley Road on Monday afternoon, according to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to the scene just before 2 p.m.
The driver, identified as Harold Partridge of Sweet Home, was found inside his 2015 Volkswagen Golf, which had come to rest approximately 125 feet from the road. Investigators determined that Partridge had been traveling southbound on Pleasant Valley Road when his car crossed the northbound lane, entered a ditch, and went through a fence before stopping in a yard.
The sheriff’s office noted there were no visible signs of trauma, and Partridge was known to have a history of medical issues. An investigation is ongoing to determine the precise cause of the crash.
