Simpson County, KY (January 7, 2025) – A collision involving a snowplow truck and an SUV occurred Sunday morning near the intersection of Nashville Rd and Macedonia Rd. The crash resulted in injuries to all involved and required an extensive emergency response.
The Franklin Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 9 AM when a Simpson County International snowplow truck, driven by 68-year-old Thomas Link, pulled out into oncoming traffic on Macedonia Rd. The truck collided with a 2016 Buick SUV. Link sustained injuries and was transported by private vehicle to the Medical Center of Franklin for treatment.
The occupants of the Buick SUV were identified as 89-year-old Larry Daily and 82-year-old Judith Daily, both of Portland, Tennessee. Both sustained injuries and were also transported to the Medical Center of Franklin. Due to the severity of her injuries, Mrs. Daily was later transferred to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for further care.
Responders from Franklin Simpson EMS, the Franklin Simpson Fire Department, and the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading to the crash.
