St. Charles, MO (January 7, 2025) – A two-vehicle accident occurred late Tuesday morning on eastbound Interstate 64 near Missouri 94, leaving one person with injuries. The collision involved a 2020 Hyundai Elantra and a 2015 Peterbilt truck and took place at approximately 11:55 AM.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of the Hyundai Elantra, a 35-year-old male from St. Charles, MO, swerved to avoid a collision with an unknown passenger vehicle. This maneuver caused the Hyundai to strike the Peterbilt truck before colliding with a concrete barrier. The driver of the Hyundai sustained injuries and was transported to Mercy St. Louis Hospital by St. Charles County EMS. The Peterbilt truck’s driver, a 45-year-old male from Coxs Creek, KY, was uninjured and able to drive his vehicle from the scene.
