Randolph, VT (January 6, 2025) – A tragic head-on collision on Vermont Route 66 claimed the life of a local man and left another driver seriously injured late Monday morning. The crash occurred just before 11:00 AM under clear and dry conditions.
According to police, 65-year-old Donald Price of Randolph was driving eastbound on VT Route 66 when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming vehicle. Emergency crews pronounced Price deceased at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 67-year-old Randolph woman, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment. Her current condition has not been disclosed.
Multiple agencies responded to the crash site, including the Randolph Police Department, Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles, White River Valley Ambulance, Randolph Fire Department, and Stockwell’s Towing. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
