Franklin County, MO (January 4, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash involving a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze and a 2024 Kia Sportage occurred on Saturday morning at MO-100 and Route T in Franklin County. The collision resulted in multiple injuries and required extensive emergency response.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 9:41 a.m. when the front of the Chevrolet Cruze, driven by a 16-year-old male juvenile from Warrenton, struck the front and left side of the Kia Sportage, driven by a 55-year-old male from Villa Ridge. The impact caused the Kia Sportage to overturn and land in a ditch off the right side of the roadway. The Chevrolet Cruze came to a stop in the middle of the westbound lanes.
The 16-year-old driver sustained minor injuries and was transported by Meramec EMS to Mercy Hospital in Washington. A juvenile male occupant also suffered minor injuries and was transported to the same hospital. The 55-year-old male driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Washington. A 53-year-old female occupant also suffered moderate injuries and was transported to the same facility.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Patriot Towing. Emergency crews, including Meramec EMS and local law enforcement, responded promptly to manage the situation.
Authorities reported that the crash temporarily disrupted traffic on MO-100 as emergency teams cleared the wreckage and conducted an investigation. Officials have not disclosed specific details about potential contributing factors.
