Thomasville, NC (January 4, 2025) – A pedestrian was fatally injured in a vehicle crash Friday evening at the intersection of Trinity St and Mason Way. The incident occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m., according to the Thomasville Police Department.
Police reported that a 2013 GMC Acadia, driven by 39-year-old Lydia Hedrick of Reidsville, was traveling west on Trinity St when it struck a pedestrian who was also walking west on the roadway. The pedestrian, identified as 30-year-old Uniqa Mona Robinson of Thomasville, was taken to Thomasville Medical Center for treatment but later succumbed to her injuries.
Hedrick remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. She was uninjured in the crash. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
