Franklin Twp, MN (January 3, 2025) – Emergency responders were called to a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 25 and Highway 12 in Franklin Township at approximately 4:10 p.m. today. The incident involved a 2019 Chevy Silverado, a 2018 Kia Sportage, and a 2022 Ford F350.
Authorities reported that the Kia and Ford were stopped at the intersection when the Chevy Silverado, driven by 23-year-old Evan Bradley Duske of Montrose, MN, rear-ended the Kia, forcing it into the Ford. Fortunately, the driver of the Silverado sustained no injuries and did not require medical attention. He was wearing a seat belt, and no airbagswere deployed in his vehicle.
The driver of the Kia Sportage, Sara Katherine Nelson, a 47-year-old resident of Cokato, MN, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to HCMC for further treatment. The Kia’s airbags deployed, and Nelson was confirmed to be wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
The driver of the Ford F350, 31-year-old Kyle Wayne Davison of Monroe, WA, was also unharmed. His vehicle’s airbags did not deploy, and he was also wearing a seat belt. Alcohol was ruled out as a factor in the crash, and road conditions were reported to be dry.
Emergency responders from Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Montrose Fire Department, and Ridgeview Ambulance provided assistance at the scene. Local authorities continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
