Waukesha, WI (January 3, 2025) – A tragic three-vehicle accident on Sunset Dr in Waukesha claimed the life of 17-year-old Megan Voss and led to the arrest of a 19-year-old man on charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. The collision occurred on Wednesday, at approximately 7:25 p.m., when the suspect reportedly ran a stop sign at high speed, striking two other vehicles.
Megan Voss, a senior at Waukesha West High School known for her academic achievements and aspirations to enter the medical field, sustained critical injuries in the crash. She was transported to Froedtert Hospital but later succumbed to her injuries, as reported by WISN.
The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, exhibited signs of impairment at the scene and was taken into custody. According to the Waukesha Police Department, he is expected to face formal charges, including homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. The crash remains under investigation.

Megan was deeply involved in her school community, participating in numerous clubs and planning to attend a Christian college in Arizona. Her friend, Logan Wisialowski, reflected, “I like the way she spreads the word of God, too. That’s something I appreciate.”
