A third vehicle was also involved, though its driver escaped uninjured.
The driver of the first vehicle sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Shock Trauma by Trooper 7. The driver of the second vehicle, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was transported to MedStar Washington Hospital via Trooper 2. Investigators confirmed that the driver of the third vehicle was unharmed.
We hope the wounded victims recover completely.
