Middlebury, CT (January 1, 2025) – A serious three-car crash on Straits Turnpike, also known as Route 63, near 1924 Straits Turnpike resulted in one fatality and another individual hospitalized on Tuesday morning. Middlebury Police responded to the scene at approximately 11:00 AM.
According to authorities, one vehicle involved in the collision overturned, and another caught fire, adding complexity to the emergency response. Two individuals were transported to the hospital, where one driver tragically succumbed to their injuries. The extent of the second person’s injuries remains unclear at this time.
