Tigard, OR (December 30, 2024) – A deadly two-vehicle collision on Highway 99W at Southwest Canterbury Lane in the early morning today left one person dead and two others injured. The crash occurred shortly after 12:30 AM and prompted a response from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue (TVF&R) and Tigard police.
Emergency crews worked to free one individual who was trapped in their vehicle. Tragically, the man did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released. Two other individuals involved in the crash sustained minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
Highway 99W was closed between Southwest Gaarde Street and Southwest Bull Mountain Road for several hours as the Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) investigated the incident. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the collision. Motorists were advised to use alternate routes during the closure.
