Motorcycle Accidents in Virginia
Motorcycle accidents, like the one at S Battlefield Blvd and Johnstown Rd, often result in severe injuries due to the lack of protective barriers for riders. In Virginia, intersections are frequent sites for such crashes, particularly when left-turning vehicles fail to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic.
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles stresses the importance of drivers remaining vigilant for motorcycles, especially at intersections and during left-hand turns. Riders are also encouraged to wear appropriate protective gear and practice defensive driving to minimize the risk of accidents.
