Pedestrian Accidents in Massachusetts
Pedestrian accidents are a growing concern across Massachusetts, particularly at busy intersections like Pleasant St and Cross St. Collisions at four-way stops often occur due to confusion over right-of-way, distracted driving, or failure to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks.
According to Massachusetts Department of Transportation statistics, pedestrian injuries account for a significant percentage of traffic-related incidents statewide. Ensuring the safety of those on foot requires vigilance from both drivers and pedestrians, particularly in residential areas like Harwich.
After pedestrian accidents, victims may face significant physical and emotional recovery challenges. Seeking appropriate medical care is the first priority, but understanding legal options is equally important. Pedestrians have the right to pursue compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and other damages resulting from a driver’s negligence.
