Greensboro, NC (December 30, 2024) – A Saturday morning crash in the 200 block of North Elam Avenue left an 80-year-old man with life-threatening injuries and another individual hurt. Greensboro Police responded to the scene at approximately 10:57 a.m. following reports of a serious accident involving an overturned vehicle.
Authorities determined that a 78-year-old woman was driving a Honda CRV southbound on North Elam Avenue when it collided with a parked, unoccupied Acura MDX on the west side of the road. The impact caused the CRV to overturn, landing in the northbound lane of N Elam Avenue.
Both the driver and her passenger were transported to a nearby hospital. The driver sustained injuries, while her passenger suffered critical, life-threatening injuries. The Greensboro Police Department is investigating the incident to determine the circumstances that led to the crash.
