Silver Springs, FL (December 26, 2024) – A tragic motorcycle accident early Friday morning claimed the life of a 43-year-old Silver Springs man, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred just before 12:30 a.m. on SE 183rd Ave, just south of SE 26th St. Authorities report that the motorcyclist was traveling northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve to the left. The motorcycle veered off the roadway and collided with a concrete mailbox and fence.
Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene but, tragically, the man was pronounced dead on-site. His identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin. The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
