Buffalo, MN (December 24, 2024) – An injury accident involving two vehicles occurred at the intersection of MN Hwy 55 and MN Hwy 25 in Buffalo on Tuesday morning. The crash was reported at approximately 7:07 AM, prompting a response from Buffalo Police and Allina Ambulance.
According to preliminary reports, a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by 22-year-old Dakota Jasmine Dimond of Maple Lake, MN, was traveling eastbound on MN Hwy 55 and turning northbound onto MN Hwy 25 when it collided with a westbound 2018 Ford F150 at the intersection. Both vehicles deployed airbags during the crash.
Dimond sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Buffalo Hospital for treatment. A passenger in the Ford F150, 25-year-old Amber Lynn Burns of St. Stephen, MN, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Buffalo Hospital. The driver of the Ford F150, 24-year-old Hunter Eugene Merten of St. Stephen, MN, was uninjured. All individuals involved were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, and no alcohol was involved.
The intersection experienced temporary traffic disruptions as emergency responders worked to assist those involved and clear the scene.
